D I R E C T I O N S As you have probably heard, we need to make some decisions about keeping Hempfield HS as our meeting location or choosing a new one. In the mean time, for September 16 only, we will meet at Elizabethtown College, the same place as two years ago. The room is E 382 in the Math Department, in Esbenshade Hall, which is a part of the new Masters Center for Sciences. Here is how to get there: If you are coming from the Lancaster area: Take 283 west to the Elizabethtown/Rheems exit. Turn left at end of exit ramp onto Cloverleaf Road and proceed about half a mile to the first traffic light; make a right onto Schwanger Rd. Keep straight and it becomes Campus Road. Proceed straight until the end of Campus Road (just under 2 miles) and make a left on College Ave. Elizabethtown College will be on your left. Make a left into the first available entrance (just after the lake), and park in the parking by the lake. If you are coming from Harrisburg/Carlisle: Take 283 east to the Elizabethtown/Hershey exit and turn right at the end of the ramp onto Route 743 South. Travel south on Route 743 to Elizabethtown. Turn left on Market Street (Route 230). Travel east through three traffic lights until you reach College Avenue. Turn left and proceed to the College. Elizabethtown College will be on your right. Proceed until you see a lake, and make a right into the entrance right before the lake. Park in the parking by the lake. Parking and finding the room: I am attaching a pdf file with a campus map, and also a jpg file with a fragment of this map, on which I have scribbled stuff. You will be arriving from College avenue. The math department is in Esbenshade Hall, which is part of the Masters Center, right next to the lake. You can park in the lot denoted by a letter V (for “visitor”) on the map. In real life, it has a sign saying “Parking Lot E”. If there are no empty spaces there, you might need to drive further to the other side of the chapel, to the parking lots denoted by G (for “general”) on the map. I have tried to draw this on the jpg file, denoting your route(s) by a red line (actually, two red lines, one marked "You are coming from here..." and the other marked "...or from here). The solid line shows your path to lot E. The dotted line is where you might need to drive if lot E is full. Also, in purple, I have denoted how to get into Esbenshade Hall. We are on the third (top) floor, at the corner that I have denoted by X. I will get out to meet you, so you will not need to navigate the maze of our building. If you get lost, call me at 508-981-4682. Regards, Bogdan Doytchinov
